Welland Public Library
About Us
The Welland Public Library offers a broad range of collections, programs, and services to meet the needs of the community—some of which may surprise you! Did you know that the library offers free older adult yoga, health seminars, reading buddies, free lessons (like French), free workshops (like Seasonal Affective Disorder), room rentals, and more? Their rental programs include more than just books, with access to videogames, VR equipment, 3D printing, digital scanners, VHS to DVD converters, a Cricut Maker, USB turntable converter (turning vinyl records to digital files), as well as take-home instruments like acoustic and bass guitars.
A library card is free if you live in the City of Welland or elsewhere in the Niagara Region. You will be required to provide proof of identification (photo I.D.) and proof of your current address when you register. Another fun fact is that most returns are cross-compatible between branches, meaning you can drop off books from Fonthill to the Welland sites if needed, and vice versa! Always check with your branch for the latest policy changes and need-to-know updates.
